Welcome

Here you can share your flip side stories. These are stories or situations where you stopped to look at another perspective or point of view, where you realized there was another side to the story or situation, where you helped someone else out through an act of kindness, where you stood up for someone else who may have been struggling or where you share a story someone else shared with you. YOu might even tell us how you shared the flip side with someone else. The stories are endless. Feel free to read the stories for inspiration and hope. Feel free to share this blog with anyone and everyone. Join the Flip Side movement TODAY! www.amberhousey.com

Welcome

Hi everyone. I am creating this blog for kids and adults to share their Flip Side moments. Those are times you've helped someone, times you saw a different point of view, times you saw something or read something that needed to see another point of view, times you stood up for someone who needed your support and anything inspirational that will help others to see another point of view or perspective.

Above, you will see links to a couple of different galleries where kids and adults can post their art and writings related to seeing the flip side (kindness, sharing, caring, diversity, peace, world, etc.).

Today:

I challenge you to pay attention to your day and ask yourself this:

Am I being open to new people today?

Then ask yourself this question:

How can I be more open to people today?

Keys for helping people see your point of view and hearing what you have to say...
1. Speak from the heart.
2. Try to understand where others are coming from and take them where you want them to be.
3. Inspire, don't demand.  Show how it is working for you and give examples of ways it can help others.

ie: When I share the Flip Side with others, I understand from experience that it is not easy in this world to see different points of view or to appreciate the differences we all have, but I find that if I ask myself if there is a flip side or another way to see something, it helps me to be more compassionate and empathetic towards someone else. I share my stories and experiences of seeing the flip side to help others and to inspire others to be more open to the humanity of the world.

I challenge you to share some of your ideas with me. Inspire me!
